Lana Wachowski

26 Oct
Today I received an e-mail from my son. He shared with me the link below and asked that I watch it to the end. I know it is over 30 minutes in length- but I am asking you to do the same: WATCH THIS COMPLETELY!
For all of us that are or know and love someone that has had to endure the pain of having to survive in a binary world without choice of self- for all of us who are or who know those that have doubted that they are worthy of love and acceptance, you will appreciate this woman’s incredible and selfless eloquence.
Embrace this moment as a reminder to celebrate yourself and those that you love. Share in the hope that others may be equally appreciated!
(her speech starts a little after the 5:30 minute mark)

Trans, But Not LIke You Think

6 Oct
My son led me to an article entitled, “Trans, but not like you think”  for the online magazine, Salon.
I was so impressed with this Thomas Page McBee’s articulate writing that I did a little more digging on my own.His terrific series, Self-Made Man, can be found at the Rumpus online magazine website. McBee has created vivid descriptions and compelling narratives that this “transmom” found to be remarkably powerful. It is my hope that you take the time to read and enjoy!
